Craig Hall is an experienced serial entrepreneur, having founded 8 companies in his career, centered mostly in the supply chain and technology domains. With a background in engineering and technology, he was an early innovator and pioneering “disruptor”, helping create and sometimes redefine a handful of industries from Third Party Logistics (TLC Group now part of Ryder Logistics) to electronic freight bill payments to cloud-based transportation management (LeanLogistics).
While still an active advisor and mentor to a few well established CEO’s and companies, today, he is focused on helping startups and early-stage companies follow their own dreams. He is currently helping build out the technology startup ecosystem in West Michigan (and hopefully beyond). A mentor for Techstars and numerous early-stage companies he tries to help those entrepreneurs not make the mistakes that he did along the way.
As an active private investor and venture capitalist, he was the founding Director of Grand Angels, a West Michigan-based band of angel investors and currently on the investment advisory boards of the Michigan Accelerator Fund and Huron River Ventures. He is also Vice-Chair of the new Start Garden and Chairman of the Holland SmartZone.
In his spare time, he and his wife helped start a Christian Medical Clinic (Clinica Medica San Lucas) in Gracias, Limpera, Honduras and have served over 300,000 on behalf of the world-wide mission of the Luke Society.
When they are not gallivanting around inside and outside of the country, he and his wife Karen reside in Holland, Michigan. They have two grown children also trying to make a difference in the world.
