To our valued Customers, Supply Chain, and Community Partners:

I am reaching out to you in order to provide an update on our current strategies in dealing with the coronavirus. We have an internal team monitoring the situation and aligning our actions to ongoing guidance from the CDC and other health experts.

As it is widely known, the world health community continues to monitor closely the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (coronavirus) and the disease it causes. Given the uncertainty of how severe the outbreak will be, and the fact that the seasonal influenza (flu) virus is also widespread, we are taking proactive steps to address a number of business concerns.

First and foremost, we want to maintain a safe workplace by encouraging and adopting practices protecting the health of employees, customers, visitors or others. We also want to ensure the continuity of business operations in the event of a pandemic.

Second, we have provided guidance to all our employees on how to better protect themselves against this pandemic. We have communicated messaging from the CDC and SHRM to employees including the following instruction:

COVER YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE WHEN YOU SNEEZE OR COUGH.

CLEAN YOUR HANDS OFTEN.

CLEAN SHARED SURFACES AND EQUIPMENT OFTEN.

AVOID TOUCHING YOUR EYES, NOSE OR MOUTH.

STAY HOME WHEN YOU ARE SICK AND CHECK WITH A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER WHEN NEEDED.

Third, we have instituted a temporary “Suspension of Nonessential Business Travel”. Essential business travel should be limited to those situations where business cannot reasonably be conducted without face-to-face interaction or visits to specific locations. Whenever possible we will set up phone or online conferencing to replace the in-person meetings.

These measures are a first for us as an organization and we thank you for working with the Cascade Engineering Family of Companies to help ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of all the people in our communities.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to our Executive Vice President, Kenyatta Brame at Kenyatta.brame@cascadeng.com.

Sincerely,

Christina Keller,
CEO and President
